Event ID 2937, MSExchange ADAccess, process edgetransport.exe, Exchange Server 2013
I tried running the Get-Mailbox <name> | Update-Recipient command, but that did not resolve the issue for me, which only affects two of my mailboxes,
and seems to only happen within a few hours of starting the server (Exchange Server 2013 running on Win Server 2012 R2 on a Hyper-V virtual machine. I've noticed no ill effects, and one of the affected mailboxes is my own. Still, the message makes me concerned.
Anyone have any ideas about what the implications of the message are or how to troubleshoot? Here's the exact wording I'm getting:
Process edgetransport.exe (Transport) (PID=6512). Object [CN=<mailbox name>,CN=Users,DC=<domain name>,DC=com]. Property [DefaultPublicFolderMailbox]
is set to value [<domain name>.com/Deleted Objects/Mailbox5
DEL:c970a894-4710-4697-bef8-daeaef887311], it is pointing to the Deleted Objects container in Active Directory. This property should be fixed as soon as
possible.

Thanks Sneff. I ran the command you suggested, and as expected it shows no public folder database (because I'm running Exchange Server 2013). I also looked at the M$ KB article and the msExchHomePublicMDB value
it mentions was already "not set", so there was nothing for me to do there. Anyway, I am not seeing the issue of clients disconnecting and reconnecting to the server. Maybe I can just ignore this error, but I figure I should try to understand
and, if possible, eliminate it. Thanks again for trying.

Hello
sorry. and that?

OK, thank Sneff--maybe we're getting closer now. When I run the Exchange Management Shell command it returns one of my existing PF mailboxes--that seems to be correct. But when I look as the ADSIEdit properties for that same user, the msExchPUblicFolderMailbox
shows a different value from the one returned by the shell command--it refers to CN=Mailbox5\0ADEL:c970a894-4710-4697-bef8-daeaef887311,CN=Deleted Objects,DC=dbvwarchitects,DC=com.
There is no Mailbox5, so that value seems to be wrong. However, I'm not sure what to change it to.
Thanks again for your help and patience!

Hello
remove wrong value
set-mailbox -Identity administrator -DefaultPublicFolderMailbox $null
and set-mailbox -Identity administrator -DefaultPublicFolderMailbox good

Thanks again, Sneff. That's pretty much what I did, though I did it in ADSIedit. I noticed that all the other users I looked at had that attribute's (msExchPublicFolderMailbox) value
set to "not set", so I cleared the value for that attribute on the problem user so it is now also "not set". I'll see the next time I restart the server (probably next week) if the problem is resolved. Interestingly, I have
two users who show up in the event log with this warning (event ID 2937), but the other problem user had that attribute set to "not set" already, so there was nothing to change there. I'll check to see if that user is still getting the warnings
when I restart the server.
