Event ID 327 Exchange Store Driver
Hi. We are running Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003. This after noon the following started showing up in our event log:MSExchangeTransportExchange Store DriverEvent ID 327The following call : EcGetMime to the store failed. Error code : -2147467259. CAUSE
This problem may occur if an e-mail message is stuck in the local delivery queue. An e-mail message may become stuck in the local queue if the message content becomes corrupted during the content conversion from MAPI to MIME. MIME conversion fails if there is some data in the message that the IMAIL component cannot map to MIME.The resolution was a hot fix. I downloaded the hot fix and tried to install it, but it said it wouldn't work with SP2 (I'm guessing--the box that said it wouldn't install was garbled, but from context is looked like SP2) and refused to install. I haven't gotten any NDRs yet, and mail seems to be working ok. It may just be a matter of time until the NDRs start showing up.FWIW I'm also using Symantec Mail Security for Exchange on this box.

Make sure that this server has all of the Windows and Exchange hotfixes and updates. Run the Microsoft Update client (if this is not installed, just run Internet Explorer, run Tools -> Windows Updates and then follow the links to install Microsoft Update). This will get the machine patches up to a reasonably recent level.

Jim,Thanks for the response. This server is already fully patched. I ran Windows Update manually just to make sure nothing got blocked up by our WSUS server, but it said all patches had already been applied.

Hi,
Firstly, please check whether the following hotfix has been installed:

Please perform EXBPA to do a health check regarding the issue. If it is appropriate, I also suggest that you perform Isinteg and offline defrag on the problem database to ensure the database is health.
Note: Please backup the database firstly before you performing the above steps.
