Event ID 6
Hi ,
I am having an exchange server 2007. I am getting an warning with Event ID 6 , Source MSExchange Web services. Can anyone help me in resolving it. The description of the warning says that unable to send notifications
to subscirption ____ Send Attempts 4 or 5 .
I was getting a named properties limit warning a couple of days back. So i changed the property value of Named props quota. Since then i am experiencing this event warning. Can anyone help me in resolving it pleaseeeee.....
Thanks,
TRI

When you refer to any event log message you should post the entire message.

I don't have a good answer for you for this. Do you have any third-party Exchange Web Services-based applications?

You have a device (or devices) sending requests (I believe they're
using web services and SOAP) to your system but when the server
respods the device isn't there.

Use a network monitor.
You can also go through each mailbox and remove the devices that
haven't sync'd for a couple of weeks. But if it's some application
using EWS or Web Services that won't help.

I'm having the same problem. From the IIS logs, it seems to be related to Project Server, which of course creates subsctiptions for its Alerts and Notifications, but I don't know how to identify the owners of the subscriptions, or even tell if these events
actually matter. We have many users who don't have dedicated computers (just Outlook Web Access), as well as a number of users who do have outlook, but are on laptops which are of course not always connected to Exchange. And then we also have users with sync
set up on their smartphones, which also may not always be reachable.
Any advice on how to at least determine if these errors should be ignored, or in the case of Project Server alerts for users who are not always connected to be configured for Pull rather than Push subscriptions?
