Event ID 915 on E7 CCR
Running CCR cluster with SCR to a target cluster. We get successful full backups, CCR and SCR both report healthy, and no apparent problems. But when backup completes and after the 916 event, we get a 915 warningthat there were X number of logs not found in the log range.Any idea's?Ted

Hi Ted,It is normal behavior because when backup completes on active node of CCR with SCR enabled source, it updates the database headers of SCR target and the log files will be truncated on it and will generate this event. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Exchange&ProdVer=8.0&EvtID=915&EvtSrc=ESE%20BACKUP&LCID=1033Amit Tank || MVP - Exchange || MCITP - Exchange 2007 || http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Yes, Amits explanation is solid After log file has already been truncated, background service on the SCR target recognizes later that the log files should be truncated. The SCR source server tries to delete the logs again: Microsoft Exchange Cluster Replay Service informs store.exe that logs could be safely deleted from the active node, which were already deleted as the SCR source is a CCR server Notes: Event 915 is a behavior by design, it does not affect the overall system functionality References: SCR and Backups section in the article Planning for Standby Continuous Replication
