Event ID 9667 after enabling Tarpit Feature
Yesterday, I configured the tarpit feature to in Windows Server 2003 which works by slowing all responses that contain SMTP protocol 5.x.x error codes. This is recommended by MS when recipient filtering is configured. However, after that I started to receive Event ID 9667 errors which I have never had before. Event ID 9667 "Failed to create a new named property for database "First Storage Group\Mailbox Store (SERVERNAME) because the number of named properties reached the quota limit (8192). We are using SBS 2003 SP1 with Exchange Server 2003 SP2. Is this a coincidence or, as I suspect, are they related?

I have seen this article. So I guess that it was just a coincidence because I cannot find any information relating 9667 and the tarpit feature. Thanks

Yep. There is no relationship between the two. The named properties issue is a real headache however.
