Event Log error for Exchange
Anti-spam agents are enabled, but the list of internal SMTP servers is empty. If there are any MTAs between this server and the Internet, populate this list by using the Set-TransportConfig cmdlet in the Exchange Management Shell. How do I correct this issue? I just got done setting up Autodiscover and now have this error. Thank you

It's documented at the link below, i.e. you have to run the Set-TransportConfig cmdlet with the -InternalSMTPServers parameter to indicate the IP addresses of the SMTP servers between your Exchange server and the Internet, so to speak. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb217684.aspx Have you installed the anti-spam agents on a Hub Transport server? Perhaps you'd like to explain your topology, etc.

yes, I have installed the antispam on the Hub Organization Transport. I do not see the option under the Hub Transport Server. And from the article I believe I need to go into the Exchange Management Shell: [PS] C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>Get-TransportConfig ClearCategories : TrueGenerateCopyOfDSNFor : {5.4.8, 5.4.6, 5.4.4, 5.2.4, 5.2.0, 5.1.4}InternalSMTPServers : {}JournalingReportNdrTo : <>MaxDumpsterSizePerStorageGroup : 18MBMaxDumpsterTime : 7.00:00:00MaxReceiveSize : 20MBMaxRecipientEnvelopeLimit : unlimitedMaxSendSize : 20MBTLSReceiveDomainSecureList : {}TLSSendDomainSecureList : {}VerifySecureSubmitEnabled : FalseVoicemailJournalingEnabled : TrueXexch50Enabled : True [PS] C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>[PS] C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>[PS] C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator> It appears the generatecopyofDSNfor is done. What am I missing? Thanks

It's the InternalSMTPServers parameter that you need to set, which is currently blank according to your output.

I am sorry for being for ignorant... What would I need to set it to and how? Thanks

Sorry, should have included that information in my post. Basically, if you have another SMTP server between the Hub Transport server and the Internet (such as MailSweeper, SurfControl, etc, etc) then enter the IP address of that server. If the Hub Transport server sends directly to the Internet, enter the IP address of the Hub Transport server. That should stop these event warnings.

I checked and we do not have any MTAs between this server and the Internet. What do I look at next? Thanks,

As I said in my previous post, in that case you enter the IP address of the Hub Transport server.
