Hi GoneLink

Based on your event log, the Fault Module is EXCEL.EXE. I can get less information from your event log.

First please try these usual methods about Excel crash:

Method 1: Verify/install the latest updates

You might have to set Windows Update to automatically download and install recommended updates. Installing any important, recommended, and optional updates can frequently correct problems by replacing out-of-date files and fixing vulnerabilities.

Method 2: Investigate possible issues with add-ins

Disabling add-ins is a good test because it let you narrow the choice of which add-in is causing the crash.

Method 3: Check whether your antivirus software is up to date or is conflicting with Excel

Your antivirus software is not up to date, Excel may not function correctly.

Method 4: Check whether your file is being generated by a third party

Sometimes Excel files are generated by a third-party application. In this case, the files may be generated incorrectly, and some features may not work correctly when you open the files in Excel. If this occurs, test the features in new files outside the third-party application. If the features work correctly, you should make sure that the third party is aware of the issue.

Please refer to this link:

After trying these methods, I suggest you try to start the computer in clean boot and check if the issue persists.

Clean boot is performed to disable all startup programs and 3rd party services on the machine and check if they are conflicting with the Office program.

Refer to the link below to know how to start the computer in clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

Did you get any error messages when Excel crash? If there are any error message when crashing please provide to me and post here. If you have any update, please let me know. Im glad to help and follow up your reply.

Hi,

This is not helping. It's really Excel having issues with it's compiler when there is lots of code.

There is a limit I know but it's not capable of telling that. It just crashes and corrupts the workbook. If we reduce code then it compiles but we need the functionality..

Would you please study this further?

Pekka
