I have office 2013 downloaded on my new Windows 8 machine. When I try to open Excel it says there is an issue. I have tried doing the quick repair as well as the online repair. I have uninstalled and re-installed. I have tried to open in safe mode and it won't. I have no problems with any other office programs just excel and it, unfortunately, is the one I need to use. Please help.

Since you have tried start Excel in safe mode and tried to re-install, then try to start Windows in clean boot to check whether the issue is caused by some third party services.
