my primary system I use is Oracle e-Business suite and within this application, I can export data. The data comes in a .tsv file extension and asks to be opened or saved when the application is done exporting the data. I open the file immediately which opens excel. The name of the file is fnd_gfm(xx).tsv where xx is a incremental number. The next time I export and open the file, the xx will be xx+1. This 'version' does not reset itself. It will continue to increase even after I close all of excel and/or reboot my laptop. Excel will allow me to open these files without closing the previous one down until I get about 3 of them open. Then excel has an issue and pops up the error "Sorry, Excel can't open two workbooks with the same name at this time". Sometimes, Excel allow me to open 4 of these files without complaint then on the 6th one, it complains. I was able to open many of these types of files under Excel 2010 with any problems. Is there a setting I can change to get the file to revert back to 'version' 1 after closing excel and opening a number of these file types.

Hi,
As far as I know, if we get the error message "Sorry, Excel can't open two workbooks with the same name at this time", it's due to calculation ambiguity with linked cells. For example: If you had a cell ='[Book1.xlsx]Sheet1!$G$33 and you had two books named Book1 open, theres no way to tell which one you mean.
Please try to check the .tsv files themselves.
