Hi!
You could try one or all of this steps:
In order to troubleshoot the issue related to Excel and Word, try the steps below:
Step 1:
If you have any graphic card on the computer, try to update the drivers by visiting the respective website or by contacting the vendor and check if it helps fix the issue.
Step 2:
If the above step fails to fix the issue, then try opening and working with the program in safe mode and check if the issue occurs:
Hold Windows key + R.
Copy and paste, or type the following command in the Open box,
and then press Enter:
WinWord /safe
Note: There is space between WinWord and /
For Excel: Excel /safe
If Word and Excel works fine in safe mode, try to disable the add-ins associated with the programs and then check the result:
Click on File menu, Options and then Add-ins.
Click on Go button besides Manage: Com-in Add.
Check if there are add-ins listed, clear the checkbox to disable them.
Click OK.
Open the applications to check if the issue occurs.
Step 3:
If you still face the issue, try to disable the hardware acceleration for Word and Excel:
Open the Word and Excel program. (one by one)
- Click on file, Options.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Under the Display section, uncheck the box for 'Disable hardware graphics acceleration'.
- Click ok.
Step 4 (probably the solution):
Try to change the default printer and check if the issue persists. If it work fine after changing the printer then you need to update the printer driver, or contact your printer manufacturer to uninstall
and reinstall the printer driver as there might be some corruption in the printer driver.
Note: You may use Microsoft XPS Document Writer as default.
Type ''change default printer'' in Google to find out how to change your default printer.
Hope this helps!
:)
