Hi All

I have created a number of charts based on various pivot tables looking at spend on various items. The pt has a number of slicers for filtering.

The issue is as follows and happens in both excel 2007 & 2013:

When the workbook is opened and the user views a chart without changing a related filter the DataTable currency fields are formatted with a $ prefix. If the user then applies a filter the format reverts to the expected format of a prefix.

This will happen each time the workbook is opened even if it was saved with the DataTables showing the correct format.

I have changed the data formatting on both the data and pivottable to no avail, only changing the filters seems to work.

I am now out of ideas :0( can anyone help.

Have no experience with anything like this - can only recommend on guessing:

Try removing the slicer, format all three: your dates, your pivot and your chart with Pounds and then reapply the slicer.
