Excel Survey Choice Limit
Hello, I'm doing a case study for uni and I'm trying to use the Excel Survey as a form for students to submit their preferred choice for when they'd like to attend a specific course. My Survey, among others, has the following questions; What day of the week you'd like to attend and what time. What I want to do, is put a limit to how many times a choice can be selected. For example, if 20 students select a specific day and time and I don't want more than 20 to select it then I need this choice to stop being available or disappear. Any idea how I can to that?

Hi Argirakos,

Could you tell me where did you create this Excel Survey? Through OneDrive or Excel client? And based on your description you have created the Survey without limited.

If you via OneDrive to share the Survey and wonder to implement your needs, I test it in my own environment and I didnt get the result. There are no additional options to set up for your Survey.

So you need to use Excel client to create an Excel Survey, and you can implement your needs in excel client by using code.

If you wonder to use code, I suggest you post your requirement to the MSDN forum for Excel to get help:

http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=exceldev&filter=alltypes&sort=lastpostdesc

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.

I did it via OneDrive indeed. My goal is to achieve the result mentioned above using an app from the Office 365 ecosystem. Someone recommended to use Access 2013 instead.

Hi Argirakos,

As far as I know you can also use SharePoint to achieve your result.

If you wonder to use Access 2013 to create the survey with your conditions, you can try it.

Any questions when using Access 2013 to create the survey please let me know.

Im glad to help you.
