having created a column chart with with 2 sets of data i get a chart where 1 set of data is behind the other and the first set of data is hardly visible, the data columns are thin like a pencil line and if the rear data is less than the front set it cant
be seen, i cant seem find a way to resolve this, the chart has been inserted as a standard cluster column chartwith no other formatting this seems to be a default display

Select any of the chart series.
On the Format tab of the ribbon, click Format Selection.
Change the Series Overlap setting, and if necessary also the Gap Width setting.
