I am trying to record a macro in Excel for Mac 2011.  When I fill out the "Record" information, I get an error message - "Unable to Record".  Solutions?

Did you record macro fine before?

First, please make sure you are using a new unique name for your Macro. Maybe you're trying to record using a name that already exists.

Then you can try to save the workbook as a macro-enabled workbook before creating any macros.  Then close the now macro-enabled workbook and then re-open it.

If these methods not work for you, please try to re-install Office 2011. About how to re-install Office 2011 please refer to this link:
