Arrghh! All my Microsoft Office documents have suddenly become read-only this morning with no option to change them. Result: two hours work this morning irretrievably lost and no further work possible until I can rectify the situation. MS tells you to click 'unprotect worksheet' but this doesn't exist. Anybody any ideas?

Hi Steve,
Which version of Office and Windows system are you using?
Did these files store in the same folder?
Where did these files store, local computer or network?
If these files stored in the same folder, please try this method and check if it works for you:
Go to the folders involved- right click- Properties- untick "Read-only".
I suggest you provide more information about your issue.
I'm glad to help and follow up your reply.
