Excel stops working
Very odd problem so far. I have a user that uses a particular Excel document frequently. This document when opened causes Excel to stop working. We have moved user to different machine and same problem. Recreating the document works for about a week and then the issue comes back. Anyone else who opens the document does not have the issue. I have removed the Microsoft Suite and reinstalled and problem is still there. Downloaded document to flash drive and issue occurs again. Only under the user profile and only this document.

Hi Ivymdeal,

Could you tell me where did you open the file? From network or from local computer? How big is this file? Did you get any error messages when the issue appeared?

First I suggest you try to open the file in safe mode and check if this issue still exists. If it works fine please check the add-ins and disable them.

Then when this issue appeared again, open Event Viewer to check whether there's any error about the Excel crash issue. If you get any event log messages about this issue, please post the whole the whole error messages here.

According to your event log messages I can get more information of this problem. Im glad to help and follow up your reply.
