If you don't have a public folder database, you'll need to create one first. You can do that in Exchange System Manager. Hi What changes happened at the server side? If that public folder database file available at the same location. Appears like some admin did some changes.. find it.. Check the event viewer and inform whether any event generated related to public folder missing.. Thank you..

Expand Configuration -> CN=Configuration,CN=<DomainName>,CN=com, CN=Services, CN=Microsoft Exchange, CN=<OrganizationName>, CN=Administrative Groups. 2. Right click CN=First Administrative Groups and select “Properties”. Find the siteFolderServer attribute. 3. Check whether it is the same as the Public Folder Store’s DistinguishedName got from step 1. If they are different, paste the value of distinguishedName to SiteFolderServer. And click OK. Hello, I have specify the steps for you to reset the sitefolderserver value in ADSIEDIT, please let me know if you have any difficulties in following the steps. [Step 1: Check the DistinguishedName value of the public folder] =========================================== 1. On Exchange Server 2003, click Start -> Run, type “adsiedit.msc” and press OK to open ADSI Edit utility. Note: The ADSI Edit tool is included with the Windows Support Tools. To install the Windows Support Tools in Microsoft Windows 2000, double-click Setup.exe in the Support\Tools folder on the Windows 2000 Server CD. To install the Windows Support Tools in Microsoft Windows Server 2003, double-click SUPTOOLS.MSI in the Support\Tools folder on the Windows Server 2003 CD. 2. Run the eseutil /mh and make sure the old pub.edb and stm are clean shutdown. Create a new PF store and dismount it immidiately. MOve the EDB and stm files along with olg files to other directory. Copy the Pub.edb and Pub.stm from the old store and mount the store. This applies if there is only single store in the storage group otherwise there is more dependecy. Just move the pub.edb and pub.stm from the default public folder store location. Create the new public folder store in GUI by using the same files names. Make sure not to mount the store after this process. Copy back the old edb and stm files you copied to other location. Go ahead and mount the Public Folder Store. NOTE: Make sure not to mount the store after its creation then we dont have to take care of the log files movement. Hi Jasjit is correct, Since the database is in clean shutdown state, there is no need to move the old log file before mounting the database. Move only the edb and stm file and create the database with the name as previous. Thank you

I have i followed given instructions, I have created new public folder store before dismount I have copied back old databases into original drive, after dismount it has created new database (.EDB, .STM), it is not mapping old databases Please advice!

Rename the old public folder store edb and stm file to the name whihc was of the newly created Public folder database edb and stm file. But if there are any folder who has this server added as replicas this server will get the data from the other server in the organization.
