Exch2k3 SysAd Undeliverable weirdness
Hello, I'm currently administering Exch2k3 in a Server2k3 Native environment. I have an AD/Exchange account setup for some of my marketing folks to use. I've been experiencing this really weird issue where the two users who have access to this account are using it with no problem, but when they send out emails they are getting SysAd Undeliverable bounce-backs from my Exchange server saying that the message could not be delivered to two certain receipents. Problem is, that these two receipents don't exist. They are no longer with the company and their respective AD/Exchange accounts no longer exist. I've looked everywhere I can think of and can't seem to figure out why this is continuing to happen. Seems like the teminated employees are "ghosts in the machine" (lol) for lack of a better term. Does anyone have any experience with this? It's been going on for a while now and I can't seem to track down where Exchange is getting these mailboxes from, because they don't exist in my AD infrastructure. It's not stopping work, just an annoyance, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Amit, It only happens with meeting requests/responses. I looked at the link you provided, but in that case unless I read it wrong user A and B both exist, just one was recreated. In my case, both users do no exist in AD or Exchange and were not recreated. I will check the delegation again but I'm pretty sure I already looked there and didn't find anything. Thanks, Mike **edit** I checked the delegation and found nothing out of place. The two users who are supposed to have control of the email account do. I also went ahead and searched for hidden mailboxes since I was the not the person who setup Exchange2k3, but I did not find either user A or B (the "ghost" users). So basically whenever anyone sends out a meetings request using the delegated mail account, they get replies from Exch Admin telling them that it could not deliver to users Aand B (the "ghost" users). I'm stumped! **edit-2** Also, the user sending the meeting requests is using Entourage on a Mac, in case that helps. I'm wondering if maybe the ghost addresses (A and B) are stored in the Entourage client cache? Is that a possibility?

Hi Mike, Would you please let me know whether the issue occurs on specific senders or occurs when sending to specific recipients? For example, if UserA sent a meeting request to UserB and receive a NDR message indicated the UserC does not exist, please let another UserD sent a meeting request to UserB and check whether the NDR message still received. In addition, would you please send a test meeting request again and help me gather the related Message Tracking log for more inforamtion. Mike
