First off, SCR will not be true HA. It will be a manual failover. For licensing you should get with your microsoft rep to get a final answer. My understanding is that you will need to license the server, just like you would any other
server (OS and product). You will not need any user cals, as you have already licensed them.Tim Harrington | MVP: Exchange | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010, MCITP: Lync 2010, MCITP: Server 2008, MCTS: OCS | Blog:

That is my understanding too, however, Microsoft recently changed SQL licensing so that if you have a TRUE DR SQL box which you are just replicating data to, you dont need a SQL license. You do need a Windows license, but not SQL. This is for Enterprise
Edition FWIW

Hi jr3151006
You can know more about SCR from this document:

For the licensing issue, maybe you can use below methods to get relevant help:
Search for a reseller near you
https://solutionfinder.microsoft.com/
Contact a Volume Licensing specialist
http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/contact-us.aspx
Find worldwide product key Activation Centers

Evan
