Exchagne 2007 resource mailbox calendaring question - conflict mgmt
My question is:I have exchange 2007 resource rooms which are enabled for autoaccept and to decline conflicting meetings. When a user schedules a meeting which conflicts with another one, he gets a decline email but at the same timeattendees do get the invites. When they accept the invite, theysee relatedentry in their calendar and nothing gets update in the Resource Room. This creates lot of confusion as they used to see the popus with direct outlook booking feature. Though I know, with Resource Booking attandant the popup has been replaced with the email due to server side processing instead of client doing this, but this creates issues as I described above. I do not want them (attendees)to receive the invites if the meeting is declined by Resource room.Is this how it works. (though, i beleive it is !!! but want to have second opinion to see if I am mission something)

Hi, I would like to explain that it is normal behavior. When the Meeting Organizer received the decline email, he should update the meeting by scheduling another room mailbox or cancel the meeting. The following article compares Direct booking and Auto Accept Agent and Resource Booking. Resource scheduling in Exchange Server 2007 http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/05/14/438944.aspx Mike
