Hello,
(I apologize if this gets posted to the wrong forum)
I'm doing an Exchange2007-2010 transition. I just did a typical installation of Exchange2010 (after completing all prerequisites) and I'm just starting to check/compare all configurations before installing a SAN Certificate and switching our DNS. One thing that concerns me is that I thought I would see a blank "Send Connector", but what I see is the same connector from the Exchange2007 Hub Transport (this connector routes mail through a smart host) that apparently got pulled in from the installation. When I change our DNS internally/externally to point to the Exchange2010 server, do I need to add the Exchange2010 server as the "Source Server" (From the send connector properties==>Source Server tab) and remove the Exchange2007 from the source server list? I guess at what point will this connector know to change to the Exchange2010 server? Or do I simply add a 2nd Send Connector and after I switch DNS I would disable the Exchange2007 connector?
- I'm a little nervous that when I change DNS this will go bad. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob
