Exchange2007 SP1 to SP3 problem
Hi Guys , I have a problem updating our Exchange server from SP1 to SP3. It fails with below error Configuring Microsoft Exchange Server Extending Active Directory schema Progress ......................... FAILED There was an error when executing 'ldifde.exe' to import schema file 'D:\Se tup\Server Roles\Common\Setup\Data\PostExchange2003_schema6.ldf'. Error code: 8202. More details can be found in the error file 'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\Gopi.err' I tried below KBs but no luck http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948214/en-us?spid=10926&sid=312 I didnt find msExchResourcePropertySchema its showing msExchresoucreLocationSchema http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607224%28EXCHG.80%29.aspx http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesoftwareupdate/thread/12bf4a19-2118-4bd4-8ef7-b5c84a7ea89a please advice . Yes ..property wasn't the same name, didnt t find the name DUP-msExchResourcePropertySchema its have only msExchresoucreLocationSchemaThanks, Gopi

You found the ms-Exch-Resource-Schema attribute in the schema, right? Sorry ... i found ms-Exch-Resource-Schema value and i try edit DUP-msExchResourcePropertySchema-fc00478e-2bbe-413d-8181-357bcaf7fa7a value into msExchResourcePropertySchema but its give error like "the attribute cannot be modified because it is owned by system" Thanks, Gopi

Hi Gopi, Please give it a shot: Open Regedit and add the following registry Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Parameters Value name: Allow System Only Change Data type: REG_DWORD Radix: Binary Value data: 1 This will allow us to change the Object Class Attribute - This setting will change back to 0 after a reboot.
