Exchange (2010) mail flow logs
Hi, From where I can see logs about individual mails (SBS2011)? Where did they come from and so on. Detailed info about mails. We had SBS2003 and in that server there was two different locations with two slightly different logs about email detailed info. I supposed there is two different logs in SBS2011 also..?

I supposed there is two different logs in SBS2011 also..? The SMTP protocol logs would show you what happens between the sending and receiving SMTP client and server. The Message tracking logs would provide you details about the delivery of the message once it's been accepted. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Hi I can’t determine whether SBS2011 is the same as exchange 2010. SMTP log C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\TransportRoles\Logs\ProtocolLog\SmtpSend Message track log C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\TransportRoles\Logs\MessageTracking directory

Yes, I can confirm that log location would be "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\v14\TransportRoles\Logs" in SBS 2011 also.Anil MCC 2011,ITIL V3,MCSA 2003,MCTS 2010, My Blog : http://messagingschool.wordpress.com

Yes, all the logs are found from there. I would also like to point out that in Exchange Management Console / Toolbox, there are some mail flow tools to view mail logs in a bit more easier and structured way. Thank you all for you'r help!
