Running exchange 07 sp2 on server 08 running the backup server tool that is supposed to flush my logs. I have CCR enabled and also this active server is a source for SCR. It says the backup completes, however i see nothing about exchange or it truncating the logs. Get this in the event logs Exchange VSS Writer (instance d19f434b-7f53-43a7-a872-d2e518404ebe:2) has unsuccessfully completed the backup of storage group 'General1 A-F -SG'. No log files have been truncated for this storage group. Information Store (2564) Shadow copy instance 2 aborted. I've read online that there is a bug in sp2 and a patch or hotfix is out there. Although not for sure.....Any one else ran into this ?

i guess the backup tool isn't really used too much. Might try installing Backup Exec.

As a result, you cannot use Windows Server Backup to backup passive copies of storage groups.So please disable replication services and then follow the steps in artilce below to backup exchange.
