You're saying that a user who has Out of Office turned on sends a meeting request, that meeting request doesn't get updated in his calendar? When he is out of office how is he connecting to Exchange?Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi Muthu,
Who is the invitee of the meeting request? The one who has OOF enabled? if this is the case, this issue might be by design because in Exchange 2003, the Meeting request is updated via Outlook Sniff, which require Outlook to be running.
So, please verify if the invitee has Outlook running when the meeting request is sent. if so, run "Outlook /cleansniff" on the invitee's client to see if this works.
Let me know if you have any questions.Fiona

i think you have misunderstood. when he is back ( after from holidays) seen that many calendar were not updated. My question is
1: why the calendar were not updated. hope when outlook turned off if user sends an invitee it will be placed as teanative.
2: If items were came how much time it will stay for user to be updated ? basically any time line
Thanks

Right, unless you have some kind of autoacceptance script running, which you don't typically use on a user mailbox.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi Muthu,
Thanks for your update. So, your user leaves and enable OOF, when he/she comes back, the meeting invitation arrived in Inbox without updated in calendar
folder, is that correct?
1: why the calendar were not updated. hope when outlook turned off if user sends an invitee it will be placed as teanative.
--It is confirm that the Sniffer is a client side resource, only when Outlook is running, it can work.
2: If items were came how much time it will stay for user to be updated ? basically any time line
--Generally as soon as it is triggered.
In Outlook 2003, the Sniffer will be triggered when the invitation arrived in Inbox in Outlook. That means, the Sniffer is triggered and updated
the invitation to Calendar folder. Sometimes the Sniffer is delay or not working.
However, based on my local test, the Sniffer in Outlook 2007 will be triggered when we “read” the invitation. So, for the issue your
user is encountering, I would like to confirm the following:
1.
Does the invitation update in Calendar folder if your user click to read the invitation in preview panel or double click to open it.
2.
If you run "Outlook /cleansniff", does the issue continues?
Thanks.

Hi Fiona,
Thanks for the update. The answer are below
1: He is reading by double clicking the item not by reading pane.
2: I have asked him to run te outlook/ cleansniff. But still now problem not reported. any way i will check and update you.
Again Thanks a Lot.
Have a Great Day
