Exchange 2003 - Odd appointment / meeting request problem
Hi! I inherited an SBS 2003 server with Exchange 2003. I have learned to maintain Exchange, but am still definitely considered a beginner on it, so please bear with me. I have what I think is a very odd problem. Here are the details...BACKGROUND:Originally, the server's domain is "companyX" and the email was "user@companyx.com". The company had switched their name to "companyZ", so, the domain on the server maintained "companyX", but emails were ALL changed to "companyZ". This server is maintained on a daily basis and is running very well.PROBLEM:userE@companyZ sends out an appointment to userM@companyZ. When userM@companyZ responds, it will respond back to userE@companyZ just fine, HOWEVER, it ALSO responds back to userA@companyX, userB@companyX, and userR@companyZ.Notice that two of the users it automatically responds to are from the old domain name email (companyX). Those users left the company and have NO user accounts / exchange accounts on the server at all. There are no references to these people in the user's outlook who sends the appointment or the recipients (userM's) outlook. One of the accounts it responds to is in the new "companyZ".As far as I can see, nothing has changed, Exchange is running fine (although I do get a delay to two separate email accounts for some reason, not sure why, and not sure if that is a clue to this problem, so figured I'd mention it). No one else appears to have this problem. There are no delegates chosen for any of the exchange accounts. They have all been cleared.Quick update: I attempted a meeting request and appointment from another user and did NOT get the same error. So, it appears that it may be with only the one sender's account? Not sure if that makes any sense. Also, the sender in question now has THREE contact lists (just an FYI there, not sure if it is relavent).I have researched and googled to no end on this.Any guidance is greatly appreciated! I hope I made sense up there! Thanks in advance!

Hi! Thanks for the response! No on the "auto formatting". I am having the sender delete the two extra "contact" icons that appear. That is the last thing to do to get her "up to par". Maybe I should try that on the sender end? Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Zergo, There might be some corrupted rule in that mailbox. What you need to do is follow the below article step by step. Make sure you have good copy this mailbox http://msexchangegeek.com/2009/04/30/using-mfcmapi-to-delete-delegate-rules-from-mailbox/ Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|
