Exchange 2003 - System Attendant Service failed to create session for virtual machine
I'm experiencing issues with our exchange server all day today, for some reason not know to myself the system attendant service fails to start. The event log show the following message.

Event Source: MSExchangeFBPublish
Event Category: General
Event ID: 8213
Date: 9/14/2010
Time: 12:35:44 PM
User: N/A
Computer: EOWYN
Description:
System Attendant Service failed to create session for virtual machine EOWYN. The error number is 0xc10306ce.
i ahve had a look on the web and unfortunatley not been able to find much relating to the above error code.

For this issue, I suggest you to follow this steps to troubleshoot the problem:
1.
Reboot the server to see whether the system attendant service can start or not.
2.
Use Exchange Best Practices Analyzer to find the problem, and follow it is suggestion to resolve the problem
If you are using
Exchange Server 2003, you can download Exchange Best Practices from this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=dbab201f-4bee-4943-ac22-e2ddbd258df3&displaylang=en
If you are using
Exchange Server 2007, you can find the tool by this way:
Exchange Management Console->Toolbox->Exchange Best Practices
You can follow these steps to use Exchange Best Practices
Best Practices Analyzer->Connect to Active Directory->Connect to the Active Directory server->Health Check->Start scanning->View a report

ExBPA is good place to start. I would also suggest DCDIAG and NETDIAG to insure AD is functioning properly. Do this from the Exchange box itself. If SA is having issues communicating with your DC then this will cause many issues.MVP Exchange Server
