Exchange 2003 Cached Mode Question
Hello We are currently using Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2003 in Cached Exchange Mode. I have one user that has a 200mb Calendar on the Exchange Server which is over our policy so his mailbox is closed. Is local cache shows only 50mb, not 200mb like the server shows in the exadmin console. Any ideas on why they are not syncing up or how I can force the sync to get this mailbox down to under 200mb. The calendar is huge on the server, not on the desktop. Hmmm Thanks everyone

Do you actually see meetings missing from the calendar, or are you thinking there are issues just based off of the size discrepancy? Unfortunately, if you're just basing it off of size, it can be quite deceiving. Due to the differences in how messages are stored on the local system, and how they're stored on the server, you can see sizable gaps both ways. The first thing to do is look in the sync issues folder to see if there really is a problem. If there's nothing there, you may want to have the user search through his calendar items and see if he can find what is driving the size up. All too often I've seen calendar appointments with all of the meeting documents attached to it (including large powerpoint presentations), so the user may just have a full folder in need of maintenance. Good Luck, Dan Holton

There are issues in the Sync Folder stating that the client is now closed because it has reached the size limit of 220mb. I have cleaned up the Outlook side, which was 221mb. Now the local client shows 34mb on the Calendar, but the size on the server still shows 221mb and is still closed.
