Exchange 2003 Calendar Issue
Hi,I have a client who is running an Exchange 2003 SP2 server with all updates installed and Outlook 2007 on Windows XP work stations. The Exchange accounts are set to Cach mode. The problem is that when an appointment is added to the Outlook Calendar it does not show up in Exchange Web Outlook. Also when an appointment is added to the calendar in Exchange Web Outlook it does not show up in the Outlook 2007 Calendar.

If a user enters something in Outlook Web Access, it's put in the mailbox right away. Cached mode clients have some delay because the entry goes into the offline store and synchronizes with the mailbox in the background. If this synchronizing is not occurring in a timely manner, then you need to start looking into why. Hold the Ctrl key, right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray and click Connection Status to get a look at how the client is connected or if it isn't. Look in the mailbox's Sync Issues folder to see if there are any synchronization problems.

Hi Ed,Thanks for the reply. It is not a matter of the calendar events syncing in a timely manner. They NEVER sync. The only items in the OWA calendar are the items that were put there when I imported the individual user pst files into exchange. Since that time there have been no updates to the caalendar.Sincemy first postI tried unselecting the Cache Mode, exiting Outlook, and reentering Outlook. I then posted an entry to the calendar and had the same results as described in my initial post when using Cache Mode.I have checked the connection status and Outlook always seems to be connected to the Exchange Server. Email is syncing just fine. It just seems like Outlook and Exchange are not communicating with respect to the calendar for some reason.Where would I find the information concerning the synchronizationissues that you mentioned at the end of your post? Thanks Again!Harry

Hi Guys,I created an new Outlook Profile, applied that profile to be used when opening Outlook 2007. That seems to have fixed the problem. I can now enter appointments in Outlook and have them appear in OWA.Thanks for your help!Harry
