Exchange 2003 Disclaimer Message
Hi AllWe are currently running Exchange 2003 in our organisation with about7000 people currently connected. We want to implement a Disclaimer at the end of theemail from a Global Level without affecting the users currentOutlook Signatures. That still needs to stay and the new disclaimer appear at the endIs there a way this can be done preferably without a third party solution? If not could you please recommend a good third party solutionMany thanksJames

AFAIK the trial version of GFI's MailEssentials have this functionality. In the past you could use this feature even after the trial expired. I haven't tested whether this is the case with the newest version, but it's worth checking out.Henrik Walther

Issue description: How to set disclaimer in the exchange 2003
Possible solution: Use customized event sink on the bridgehead server which is normally the last hop in the mail routing path when the mail leaves the organization
Limitation:
The event sink cannot be set on a single exchange 2003 server
The event sink cannot be added to internal mail flow
The event sink cannot be triggered by MAPI messages [Resolution]
Procedure: BEs---> bridgehead (Event Sink) --->Internet
1. Herere two articles show how to create VB script or build DLL for event sink
2. After you build DLL or create VB script, you will need to register the event sink on the bridgehead server, which requires Smtpreg.vbs file that is installed with the Exchange software development kit (SDK)
Notes: As Henrik said, GFI has disclaimer function in their product; you can consult them for it
