Event Type: Error

Event Category: General
Event ID: 8217
Date: 3/11/2011
Time: 10:23:07 AM
User: N/A
Computer: EXCHANGE

The processing of the recurring appointment with the subject "Canceled: Admin Meeting" in mailbox: XXXX YYYYY failed with error code 0x80004005. This appointment will not be visible in the web client or other non-MAPI client.
For more information, click

On this last error I've updatd the EXCDO.dll file and it appeared to have fixed any new appointments being added. I had the receptionist recreate the appointment in everyone's calendar and this warning did not appear on the recreation. But it did
appear when we deleted an old appointment that was NOT showing..was this to be expected?
The first and second error message is still appearing any suggestions?

That may not be an Exchange problem.
Does the metabase file exist in the directory? The metabase.xml file
is usually in this folder: "C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv"
If you make a metabase backup from time to time you should be able to
restore it if the file's missing. If the directory's gone you'll ave
to resort to you backup software to recover it.
