Exchange 2003 Event 9665
I have a windows 2003 server r2 that is a domain controller and has exchange 2003 standart sp2 installed and one identical server on another location with the same configuration but not a domain controller. On the domain controller I keet getting a warning "The memory settings for this server are not optimal for exchange" event id: 9665.On the non DC I managed to fix this with the /3G /USERVA=3030 in the boot.ini plus the SystemPages value is set to 0 and the HeapDeCommitFreeBlockThreshold set to 0x00040000, it worked fine, as for my other server I tried to use the same settings but I keep getting the same warning everytime the MSExchangeIS service starts. What can I do to get the memory on my DC optimized?

Hi,
For Exchange Server computers which are at the same time Active Directory Domain Controllers or Global Catalog servers we also do not recommend setting the /3GB switch in boot.ini. AD database and Exchange compete for the same memory space.
We recommend having dedicated Active Directory Domain Controllers or Global Catalog servers.
