I currently have a 2003 Exchange server on the network and now have to setup a front-end server. The front-end server will be placed in the DMZ. My question is, during the setup of the front-end server, does it have to be on the domain anytime during the setup and then removed from the domain before going into the DMZ?ThanksKevin

I would recommend you not put an Exchange Server in the DMZ - use a reverse proxy if needed instead.http://blog.sembee.co.uk/archive/2006/02/23/7.aspx( Note that Microsoft no longer recommends a FE in the DMZ and its not supported in Exchange 2007)
