I have a couple of users that inboxes and deleted items are being cleared out randomly. There seems to be no connection to each other.  I had one user who was just using owa, but the other are using outlook 2007.  Some are connect to BES while others are not. I have looked for rules and 3rd party software.

We are using exchange 2003 on server 2003 (use to be a SB server, but was upgrade before my time with the company).

Does anyone have any ideas on what might be happening?

Any chance they are also connecting via an iPhone or iPad. I have 2 users where the deletes on the iPad/iPhone sometimes carry through to Exchange. They may be assuming it doesn't carry through, but it does only occasionally.

I did ask about that. They said no and I checked through the mobile admin and didn't see anything.  There are a couple of users who use an IPhone or Droid device but they do not seemed to be affected.
