Exchange 2003 OWA redirecting to Exchange 2007 OWA
Hi, I am new here....I have a lab on my pc which has Windows 2003 DC and 1 Exchange 2003 server and 1 Exchange 2007 server(One AD and two Exchange servers). When I access Exchange 2007 OWA by using the link : https://exchange2007/owa....it works fine.....I was working fine with Exchange 2003 OWA as well with the link: http://exchange 2003/exchange.....Then once I enabled FBA from ESM and checked....it was working fine with FBA....after a few days I disabled the FBA and tried accessing OWA....the problem started from that instance......When I try accessing http://exchange2003/exchange......it automatically changes the link to http://exchange2007/exchange....and gives me an error about accessing the page with https.....The exchange 2003 doesnt work anymore but it tries to redirects me to the Exchange 2007 OWA.....I have tried almost everything but cant get it to work....Any Suggestions??? Please help!!

You can try deleting and recreating the virtual directory. It might help you. Please go thorugh below link to accomplish this. http://exchangeshare.wordpress.com/2008/07/16/how-to-recreate-owa-virtual-directory-exchange-2007/ http://www.zadrosolutions.com/blog/exchange-2003/rebuild-exchange-2003-virtual-directories-for-oma/ Regards, _Prashant_MCSA|MCITP SA|Microsoft Exchange 2003 Blog - http://prashant1987.wordpress.com Disclaimer: This posting is provided AS-IS with no warranties/guarantees and confers no rights.

Did you try accssing OWA with the IP address of your exchange server???? Probably it might be an issue with name resoution (DNS). Please check the event logs on the client system as well as on Exchange 2003 server and post the event ID'S with the description. Hi Saad, It is better to read the above articles, and then try to resolve the issue. Per your description, "Then once I enabled FBA from ESM and checked....it was working fine with FBA....after a few days I disabled the FBA and tried accessing OWA....the problem started from that instance. When I try accessing http://exchange2003/exchange......it automatically changes the link to http://exchange2007/exchange....and gives me an error about accessing the page with https.....". That means, where is the mailbox hosted, and how about to reenable the FBA, what is the detailed information, and what is the result. Please also test with https://..., and post the result. As we know, Microsoft Exchange uses Exprox.dll and Davex.dll to redirect requests that are submitted to virtual directories on Exchange 2007, Exchange 2003 according to where the mailbox was hosted. And if the exchange 2007 VD need the https, the error would occur. Regards! Gavin TechNet Community Support
