Exchange 2003 Recipient Service - SMTP emails -HELP
Hi Guy's

currently our exchange system is setup so that the user emails are generated like this joeb@test.co.uk
i would like to change all users email address over to joe.bloggs@test.co.uk
i have read a little about the recipient update service, now i would like there old email address to still be there but there new one to be the Primary one and the that is shown when they send or reply to emails
i click on new and then create a new SMTP set of properties ?
for the address what shoud i change it too currently its just set to @test.co.uk
should i change it to %g%s@test.co.uk
hope someone can explain better or tell me im in the right place
thanks

Hi Gremlin,
Yes, add an additonalsmtp address in default email address policy and set it as a primary. You required to add %g.%s@test.co.uk for firstname.lastname@test.co.uk email addresses.

Once i set up the new SMTP email address and set it to primary
should i be ticking the box at the bottom of the email tab in Active directory onuserproperties
automatically update email addresses based on recipientpolicy ??
i assume yes because other wise they wont update automaticly once i have made the changes to the primary SMTP email address in the recipient policy on the ESM.
cheers
