Aloha i took over in the IT department and have a problem on the Exchange server. I tried to cerate a new distiburtion list but could not find the recipient container? when i checked the GAL i noticed that distribution recipient's _Sales, _IT, _Techs where gone? Deleted. i go to my outlook on laptop or desk computer and still can send email to the distribution recipients with no bounch backs. better yet the backups for Exchange are gone? I need to get the recipient's back ? Help if found can i restore the users mail boxes? or will i need to restore the information store if found? This is a first for me

Thate are no "recipient containers" in the AD, only Organizational Units and Containers. You're using the Active Directory Users and Computers MMC to create the group, right?
