Exchange 2003 SP2 - Public Folders broken
Until recently we never had utilized Public Folders so I couldn't tell you exactly when they broke or how, but here is a brief history of Exchange in our organization (at least since I've been here):
I got here and Exchange was on the sole Active Directory Server... (Bad, I know)
That AD server crashed hard and I finally got funding for a new box, moved AD there by seizing the roles
I reserected the Exchange/AD box, demoted it on AD, cleaned up metadata, began to rally to completely replace the aging box
Finally got funding to move exchange, albeit onto a VM, and migrated mailboxes and other data, removed old exchange from organization
Tried to set up a shared calendar... seemed to work but calendar events began disappearing.
Inside the Exchange System Manager I cannot see either of the PFs i've created (Although I can see them through OWA), and any calendar items added to them seems to disappear after a while. Creating a public folder inside of ESM seems to work for a second,
but they disappear entirely if I open and close ESM, I'm entirely unable to check the security on any PFs created inside ESM before they eventually disappear.
Let me know if you need any more information or if you have anything for me to check.
Thank you,
