Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 Transition

Added Exchange 2010 CAS server while still running Exchange 2003.

Email is looking for certificate for CAS server.  I didn't do anything to integrate CAS.

If I shutdown CAS the cert request goes away

How can I startup my 2010 environment while still running 2003 and not get CERT request.

Any help is appreciated

The best way to avoid this is to put a valid , trusted cert on the 2010 CAS and apply it to the services - specifically !!S.

Alternatively, in the short term, set the internal AD SCP record on the 2010 CAS to $null:

Set-ClientAccessServer NEWCAS AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri $null

I have a valid cert on the CAS server.

Why is the outlook client trying to resolve a cert on a server it is not even connected to

These clients are still pointing to the old Exchange 2003 server

Once I turn off the CAS server everything goes back to normal.

Thanks

This worked great to stop the autodiscovery

When I am ready to go live beside turning this back on what do I do with DNS to set the correct URLs

Thanks
