Exchange 2003 and Postini Setup
Hi, I have Small Business Server 2003 and all updates. I have5 static IP addressess from ATT and am not sure which one to list on Postini's site as the inbound server IP address (should I use the gateway IP or the one I setup on my router that points to my lan?) I have tried both and nothing is working right now. I opened up a "pinhole" (for those that know Netopia routers) for port 25. Also I had this working until I restarted the server...don't know what happened. If anyone has setup this damn Postini and SBS Exchange PLEASE HELP! TIA

This ia a bit old and I hope you got your mail running by now but any luck Daryl? If you are still wondering then one way to see what public is being used by your server is to visit a site like whatismyip.com from your exchange server. This shows the address to list as your inbound server in postini. Since you have 5 addresses then you may want to use a static NAT rule (if you aren't already) so that your mail server has it's own public IP and is different then the IP being used by other hosts on your LAN. Then just be sure to run the system tests to make sure all your ports are open and that your server is listening to the postini service. If you have all 3 ttests passing in postini then you are good to go on changing your MX records to those of the postini service.Best of Luck! ~John
