Exchange 2003 and oma
Hi,I am trying to connect my iphone to my exchange server 2003 SP2 running on Server 2003 EE SP2. I am first trying to connect via Wifi through a Netgear router. I have port 80 and 443 allowed. I was trying to setup OMA but after reading a question on this forum about setting up OMA someone suggested that it is no good and to only use it if the smart phone has no email program. I am very new to all this and am trying to test all aspects of this before it goes into production. Can anyone give me any advice as to which way is best way to go and are there any good articles I can read - most articles I have come across don't really cover IIS and configuring this - or maybe I'm just looking too far into it. When I try to access mail, I get the error on my iphone "Cannot get mail" The connection to the server failed." I can see the phone is attached to wi-fi. I believe I have setup the account info accurately. Any suggestions?Thank you

Hi,First you need to check whether OMA is working locally thru your web browser.URL: http://FQDN/OMA (replace FQDN with the Fully Qualified Domain Name of your server). If its working fine then digging to troubleshoot from device end. also try to check oma acount for other user and procedhttp://www.petri.co.il/configure_oma.htmAnil

Hi, I can't get through to OMA from browser - only OWA. Get runtime error when I try to go to OMA. I do however get the dialog box to log in before getting run time error. I don't really have much experience with IIS and I believe this is where the issue is. Also, the FQDN of the server is a .local name. I do have a public domain, but not sure how to set it up in IIS on this machine. Or do I need to create a front-end server for this? I realise this is much safer but I am a small company and trying to keep costs down. Can you point me in the right direction for documentation regarding these topics? I have looked but can't seem to find anything with detailed information. Thanks

OK, Its looking that OMA itself is not working locally. Before cheking externally its should work internally.Just you can try to delete and create OMA VD if you can in your ENVhttp://www.curtis-lamasters.com/2008/06/11/recreate-exchange-2003-owa-virutal-directories/http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2005/06/29/407059.aspxhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/exchangesvrmobility/thread/fed28d32-f45a-4299-8c1b-652b01e36814http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/817379http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Fixing-Damaged-Incorrectly-Configured-OWA-2003-Installation.htmlAnil
