Question... How do you backup to tape using NT backup on an exchange 2003 server? tape never shows up as a choice of where to store the backups. ThanksThank You, Scott

Hi Scott, If tape drive is configured in Server, as you are browsing a folder to place the backup files in hard drive, you have to point the tape drive, Only option to select a tape drive or hard drive localtion is same. you have to browse and select it. If tape drive is not detected, then you are missing something in configuring the tape drive. If you open My Computer, is the tape drive appearing UP. Make sure the Tape drive is configured correctly in server. Thank you

Hi, The tape drive it's self does not show up in the device manager. It's and HP LTO-4 external SAS with Adaptec controller. I will call HP and ask them what is up tomorrow. It did not come with any drivers. I should just use Backup Exec 12.0. It has all drivers built in. If I did I would be done now...Thank You, Scott

I'm in the process of switching to Exchange 2010 and Backup Exec 2010 R3. While I do that I was just going to use NT backups. I did an automatic update last night and the drivers for the tape came down from Microsoft. It seems to be working fine... Problem solved...Thank You, Scott
