Exchange 2003 can not locate Global Catalog in local site
We recently had a domain controller die. It was the global catalog server in the local site of our exchange 2003 server. We have several other sites with DCs so we didn't lose active directory. We built a new Domain Controller and made it a GC. Now Exchange 2003, throws DSACCESS errors saying that it can not find any GCs in the local site, and it will use GCs in other sites.I've ran DCDIAG, NETDIAG, and NLTEST to test connectivity from the exchange server to the DCs, and the tests list our new domain controller as a GC. We've combed over DNS several times. Not sure where else to look, any advice?thanks.

The domain controller in the local site was always discovered by Exchange but the SACL Right was always at '0'. Found the solution. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316300 I had to rerun exchange setup with the /domainprep and it fixed the permissions issue.
