Exchange 2003 cannot create mailbox store
I installed a new Exchange 2003 standard server that I am configuring as a front-end SMTP bridgehead server (running on Windows 2003 R2 Standard Server) that will be handling our TLS encrypted traffic. I installed Exchange 2003 along with SP2
and a few hotfixes. I have discovered that the first private mailbox store did not mount and the priv1.edb and priv1.stm files never were created. The public folder store exists and is mounted. When I try to mount the first mailbox store
I receive the following error message:
An internal processing error has occurred. Try restarting the Exchange System Manager or Microsoft Exchange Information Store service, or both. ...

In the application log, the following errors appear:

I tried restarting Exchange Services and rebooted the server a few times. I found a user under "Delegate Control" that was a SID only. I deleted it but that didn't help. I have been googling the problem and have found a few things like the "Delegate
Control" suggestion but nothing has helped.
Any ideas?Steve
