Hi, I am having a Exchange 2003 cluster and want to upgrade it to Exchange 2010. Setup is One frontend server and a two node backend cluster. Need to implement the 2010 with DAG. Firstly can i Install the Hub/CAS and replace it with the the current frontend server? until implementing the mailbox servers with DAG? or do i have to install HUB/CAS and MB servers at once? HI Kanishka, ANy how you must have to install HUB-CAS first to initiate this migration. Then install Exchange 2010 mailbox server role. You can also use forefornt on 2010 HUB server. 1. Install HUB-CAS server with forefront (If you want) on same BOX 2. Install MBX roles 3. Create DAG 4. Test this ENV 5. 1. As you have a front-end I assume you are using OWA/EAS etc...If this is the case then you need to do the CAS/HUB roles first, in the Interet Facing site. 2. Once you have done this, and you want co-exist 2003 with 2010, i.e during your migrations then you need to configure a legacy host name and configuer rthe legacyURL. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd638130.aspx 3.
