Hello all, We are preparing a project in which we plan to virtualize a great deal of Windows servers to a Hyper V environment. In the current situation, there is an Exchange 2003 (failover) cluster which runs on physical servers. We would like to create an Exchange 2003 server cluster on Hyper V. However, the document "Microsoft Support Policies and Recommendations for Exchange Servers in Hardware Virtualization Environments", states that server clusters on a virtualization platform is not recommended. Can anybody explain why this is not recommended. Or (maybe better) can anybody point me to documentation in which this is explained in greater detail? Thank you in advance!

Exchange 2003 isn't officially supported on Hyper-V, only Exchange 2007 is. Many things work quite well on Hyper-V but aren't officially supported.
