Exchange 2003 hosting a second domain
Hello, I'm about to add a second RUS policy in order to receive emails for a second domain. How can I apply this to only a selected user, instead of all mail-enabled users getting the second proxyaddress/smtp address?

I created a recipient policy with a blank filter and added the second domain as a unique smtp address to the user's AD account settings. We'll see if that works.

No filter/ That's going to apply to everyone - kill it quick before you end up with a bunch of mailboxes receiving addresses they shouldn't have. As Rich said, what you want to do is set up a policy that applies only to users with specific criteria, such as a specific value in the Company Name or Address field (etc etc etc). Do not manually add an email address into any user account - let the policy do it. This is really very easy to do. PS: You don't mean recipient update policy - that phrase will confuse people. You mean simply recipient policy. :-)Lanwench ** Do not fold, spindle or mutilate. Fill in the box completely and erase any stray marks. Use only a #2 pencil.

For one-off addresses (like postmaster@parked-domain.com) I've used one Recipient Policy that has an empty LDAP filter and dozens of SMTP domains. I just set the mailbox to not automatically apply the policies and slap the SMTP proxy address into the "E-Mail Addresses" tab and remove any address that might have been there when the mailbox was created.
