I have a SBS server that seems to run otherwise fine, OWA works, users can access email etc. But when we try to setup Outlook to use Exchange it gives the error: "The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." And: "The name could not be resolved. The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." You can UNC to this server, browse the network for it, type it's name into a web browser and get OWA, or Company web. I have tried looking at the RPC dll's on the client and the server they both appear fine and in order. This is effecting ALL pc's in the LAN. And any user ID I choose. Recent errors from the application log MSExchangeFBPublish System Attendant Service failed to create session for virtual machine SRV-3. The error number is 0x8000ffff. Hi, First please try to reboot Exchange Server. Then please ensure that Service: Microsoft Exchange Information Store, Microsoft Exchange System Attendant are running. Note: Please run Services.msc from a command prompt to open Service Manager. Is there any more SMTP server in your environment? Please try to compare the SMTP settings via ADSIedit.exe tool. 1.
