Exchange 2003 in SBS - OWA works but Outlook can't check name.
I have a SBS server that seems to run otherwise fine, OWA works, users can access email etc. But when we try to setup Outlook to use Exchange it gives the error: "The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." And: "The name could not be resolved. The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." You can UNC to this server, browse the network for it, type it's name into a web browser and get OWA, or Company web. I have tried looking at the RPC dll's on the client and the server they both appear fine and in order. This is effecting ALL pc's in the LAN. And any user ID I choose. Install Windows Support Tools on the Exchange server. 2. Click Start->Run, type "ADSIEDIT.MSC" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter 3. Navigate to CN=Configurations -> CN=Services -> CN=Microsoft Exchange -> CN=<Org Name> -> CN=Administrative Groups -> CN=<AG Name> -> CN=Servers -> CN=servername->CN=Protocols -> CN=SMTP Besides, below article may give you more sights on this issue.
