Exchange 2003 licensing
We have an Exchange 2003 environment and need to add new servers. We do NOT want to upgrade the whole system to 2007.
Can I use an Exchange 2007 std OEM license to activate a new installation of Exchange 2003 Std?
A link to a page similar to this for OS's would be good:

Hi Denis,
As per my knowledge you can not use exchange 2007 Licence for 2003 installation. For more detail i would advise you to talk with your partner from where you buy this else you can call toll free of MS support to get more.

There is no such thing as Exchange 2007 OEM.
Furthermore you can't purchase Exchange 2007 any longer, so you would have to purchase Exchange 2010 and downgrade. Volume licencing is probably going to have to be your purchase model.
However as already stated, your best option is to speak to Microsoft and get the response in writing.
Although personally I would be hesitant to invest in Exchange 2003. If you are adding Enterprise edition of Exchange 2003 you need Enterprise Edition of Exchange 2010, which is very expensive. However standard of edition of Exchange 2010 will give you multiple
databases and may well allow you to consolidate your servers therefore decreasing the cost of the Exchange in general.
