Exchange 2003 on W2K3 SBS calendar update problem
I have a customer using W2K3 SBS SP2. The customer has a AD account called scheduler, this AD acount is not used by a user as such but the mailbox's calendar is shared to a handfull of users with owner rights and reviewer rights to default, the calendar
is used as a shared calendar to schedule appointments. Recently a user added 4 appointments but none of the other users with permission to see the calendar could see the changes, this was left alone for the whole day and still no user could browse to the shared
calendar and see the new appointments. The user who added the appointments could see the appointments, I then closed outlook and re-open for this user and then all the other users could see the new appointments. Can anyone explain what happened or why this
happens.
The user who added the appointments uses outllook 2007 while most of the other users use outlook 2003

I'm not sure why this would happen, unless the user in question was working offline in Outlook at the time. If you can't reproduce this error I'm not sure I'd worry about it!Lanwench ** Do not fold, spindle or mutilate. Fill in the box completely and erase any stray marks. Use only a #2 pencil.

Hi,
We must keep the outlook for delegate and manager in same version if delegate is using outlook 2007.
The delegates and the manager must all use Outlook 2007 when you use delegates in Outlook 2007

Hi,
Please understand that the issue you have meet is normal. Because the outlook version for delegate and manager is not the same.
If we use outlook 2007 for all the users, then we will not mee the issue.

Hi, Xiu - that KB article says it's not recommended, not that it isn't supported. I work in multiple environments with mixed Outlook versions and have never had problems such as this with calendar access. So, I can't agree that this is a normal thing.
To the OP: are these users granted delegate access in Outlook (for the resource mailbox) in the delegates menu, or is the individual calendar folder simply shared out?Lanwench ** Do not fold, spindle or mutilate. Fill in the box completely and erase any stray marks. Use only a #2 pencil.
